This year one of my good friends is turning 40 and we are thinking about going on vacation. A lot of ideas have been thrown around on what we should do. We want a place where we sit on a beach, have a good time eating, do some water sports, go to some festivals, and just relax. One of our friends suggested to vacation in mississippi. At first, I looked at her like she was crazy, because being from the NorthEast, the only thing that comes to mind with Mississippi, is how it is spelled. Mississippi always was the final word on our spelling bees in school.
However, once I looked into the Mississippi Gulf Coast, I knew this is one place that I definitely want to go see! They have the most beautiful gulf coast beaches. I was doing some research and just looking at the beautiful beaches, put me in my happy place. I told my friends that we definitely need to do this trip, as I knew we would all have a fantastic time!
Besides having the best gulf coast beaches mississippi, they also have a slew of fun activities that can be done on the beaches. Imagine taking a jet ski out on the Mississippi coast….Imagine parasailing.. Imagine deep sea fishing… The possibilities are truly endless when you head on out for a aMississippi Gulf Coast vacation.
I also heard that they have some of the best seafood in the country. The Gulf Shrimp and oysters are supposed to be out of this world. I truly can live off of shrimp and oysters, so I must visit Mississippi, to just check out the restaurants. They have casual, as well as fancy restaurants to suite your dining needs. After dining, you can visit some of their various art and music venues to cap off the night. We are planning to do this trip sans kids so we have all the freedom to visit all the local bars and have some fun!
We also might visit some the amazing golf centers and casinos that surround the Mississippi Gulf Coast. While I normally don’t gamble, it would be fun to try my lady luck in a state that I never visited. It would be part of the whole experience. My good friend says that if you do decide to go there, the casino is a must for her, so I will definitely report back to let you know how it goes.
I am looking forward to our girl weekend. Hopefully, we get to visit beautiful Mississippi and all the local attractions!

I’ve never been to MS but I have a good online friend that lives there. I’d love to go someday! My husband was there for some work but just inside the MS line by TN.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll ask her about it since we want to try to go next year 🙂

I’ve never been, but it’s on my list of places to go at some point. If you go, definitely report back with some of the places you went… maybe it’ll inspire hubs and I for a winter getaway!
