Sciatica, round ligament pain, food aversions, and weight gain are just a few of my least favorite things about pregnancy. Although its been a little while since we’ve gone through it, I remember vividly all of the aches & pains that came with each pregnancy and how, like many expecting mamas, I prayed for my due date to hurry up and arrive. By the end pregnancy us mamas are exhausted, cranky, and just beyond ready to reap the benefits of the long 9 months its taken us to grow our little ones. The last thing we want to do is have to heap any more unnecessary stress on ourselves but unfortunately, stress is part of every day and being pregnant doesn’t make us exempt from much of anything.
At least, nothing we want to be exempt from (household chores, dealing with unpleasant folks, grocery shopping, etc.). With all of the stress we suffer through during our pregnancies, it’s normal to wish for some peace, for a day of pampering where we can settle back and just relax. With each of my pregnancies there came a point where I wanted nothing more than long soaks in the tub with my favorite bubble bath, my old hair/skincare routine and a soothing face mask. Most of those things, however, were out of my reach at that point in time because, like many expectant mothers, I worried over most everything I put onto and into my body; I was terrified every little thing was going to do harm and so I went without a lot of my favorite comfort items (bubble bath, hair care products, makeup and manicures to name a few).
It hasn’t been many years now since we welcomed our youngest into the family and it was around then that I really became aware of how the market was changing in terms of product safety for pregnant women. Every day it seemed there was some long coveted product that someone had reconstructed, leaving out the bad and adding the good, to be safe for those of us who experienced the craving for comfort measures while expecting little ones.
Skin Care for Pregnancy:
Alana Mitchell Skin Care is one such creator of products that are safe while still catering to the simple needs of pregnant mamas. Like so many all over the world, Alana has been the wringer known as pregnancy (twice!) and knows how frustrating it can be to worry over the safety of each product purchased. However, thanks to Alana’s unique background with growing up in a beauty salon with her two parents, she was way ahead of the curve and just what was safe and what wasn’t in terms of beauty products. This, along with knowing how misleading product lists and false claims can be, filled her with the desire to help provide 100% transparency, honesty and education to consumers. Thus, after much research and a humble start, Alana’s own product line was launched. Well, two actually, but that’s news for another day.
Now, not only does Alana have some great tips for safe beauty products during pregnancy that can help save you time and stress from wandering every beauty aisle at your local retailers but she’s also crafted both of her beauty product lines around that knowledge. Not only can you avoid frustratingly roaming but you can forgo the guess work entirely by heading to the Alana Mitchell website to check out her best products as well! Each product has been crafted with ingredient lists that are exactly what they seem, nothing more nor nothing less.
ALANA SKIN CARE:
There are no false claims that any of her products contain a secret fountain of youth, can cure every wrinkle or land you the man of your dreams, however, her brands will help educate consumers, present and present — whether pregnant or not, young or old, low maintenance or high in terms of their self-pampering stash. Alana has made it her mission to empower buyers to think outside of the premium market and to focus on brands that deliver quality & results.
