*I attended the Domino’s Blogger Day. Domino’s paid my expenses for making this trip happen. All my opinions are my own and not swayed by outside sources.*
Last month, I had the chance to visit the Domino’s World Resource Center, Supply Chain Center, and Test Kitchen in Michigan to see how Domino’s operates so we all get pizza delivered fresh to our house 365 days a year. It was a trip of a lifetime because Domino’s Pizza has been in my life since I was a little girl.
My first stop was the Domino’s Supply Chain center. When we arrived, we were introduced to how all our dough gets made each and every single day of the year. To say I was amazed, was a total understatement. You should see just how many pounds and pounds of fresh dough are made and then shipped out via their trucks to all over the country. Of course, one of the best things about Domino’s is the crust and I was so happy to see how they are so particular on what actually gets shipped out to the stores. If the dough is not perfect, they do not use it. As a consumer, this made me very happy!
Once we were done touring this facility, we had a chance to go to the test kitchen. In the test kitchen, they actually have people who come up with all different varieties of what can go on the pizza and they test it before it ever reaches the consumer. All of their ingenious pizza ideas come right out of the test kitchen. I had the chance to make my own pizza which was very exciting. However, my pizza esthetics look nothing like what gets delivered to your door. I guess that is why I am not a Domino’s tester! But boy was it an absolute blast!
Next up, we had a chance to sample so many different pizza concoctions including our own. I think I ate more that day than I did in the entire week. However, just the next night, we ordered Domino’s because my husband was completely jealous that I had this experience, so he wanted his own fresh pizza.
Then we had an amazing meeting with Executive Team Members, CEO Patrick Doyle, Lynn Liddle and Kevin Vasconi. We had the chance to ask anything and everything we wanted including what does the future hold for Domino’s, when are the perfect times for advertising, how has technology changed since Domino’s started, and more. It was completely informative and made me realize just how perfect the Domino’s factory truly runs.
The part that amazed me the most was 1/3 of Domino’s business is housed by the technology department. I was completely blown away walking through the IT department. However, I realize that this is because Domino’s is one of the most technologically advanced companies. For instance, they are working on their Domino’s app all the time and trying to perfect it for the consumer. One of the coolest apps is the Dom app! Similar to Siri, this app allows you to order pizza hands free. If you have kids in the car and you are driving home from the many sports activities, simply press a button on the app and Dom will record what you want. Then when you get home, you will have freshly made pizza delivered right to your home. He is also very clever too. We had fun telling jokes with Dom. Be sure to check out the Dom app today!
It was an amazing trip that made me realize what a world class business Domino’s is. Now when I order my pizza every week, I will always think back to all the great experiences I had. So go order that Domino’s pizza, check out the Dom app, and follow Domino’s on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram today!

PIzza is my absolute favorite food, so this would be a dream trip for me. I would probably get kicked out before the day ended for sampling when I wasn’t supposed to.

This would have been such a fun trip! I remember in elementary school when our local Domino’s invited my class up to make our own pizzas. It was so fun and left such an impression, that whenever I have the choice, Domino’s is the pizza I prefer to order.
