*I am a National Geographic Blog Ambassador. All my opinions are my own and not swayed by outside sources.*
With the new baby coming in a few weeks, I was on the search for a great baby book. I am still that mom who tries to document everything the baby does, and I hope to continue the tradition with this new baby girl. Recently I received the National Geographic Welcome to the World Keepsake Book which is the end all, be all of baby recording books.
It’s a beautifully designed keepsake that, in true Nat Geo style, emphasizes stunning photography. The cover of the book features a mommy and baby penguin with a starry outline looking towards the sky. Then the first few pages show the earth and sky and continue to show some of the beautiful landmarks of the world via photography until the the day you were born page. On the first “You were Born!” page, it gives you ample room to answer certain questions such as when the baby arrived, how the baby was delivered, first pictures, hair color, etc.
Throughout the book, not only will you see stunning pictures but equally awesome poems about infancy and the joy of raising a newborn. There is many pages for you to fill out about the time the baby grows up, favorite memories, routines, etc. The book then ends with the saying, “It’s a wonderful world waiting for you!”
What I love about this keepsake book is it is unlike any baby book I have seen. It has over 150 pages and is broken up into photography based on newborn sayings, animals, etc. and in between is the pages for you as the mommy or daddy to fill out to remember those special occasions and events from the time you were born to the time you got bigger. I am in awe of how simply detailed this baby book is and I really can’t wait to use it for our new baby girl!
Here is a little more information about the book:
*This stunning keepsake baby book awes and inspires, reaching parents who appreciate design and elegance and who want to treasure the memories of their baby’s first year in living color, connecting the birth of a new child to the beauty of the world he or she is entering. Sweet, tender, and inspirational entries help parents fill out a memory scrapbook for their children that goes far beyond first tooth or first steps, but misses none of those key milestones. This book introduces the new baby to a world full of beauty, promise, and hope, just what every parent wants for their child.*
