Guardsman Furniture Cleaning!

It is that time of year again- time to start doing my spring cleaning. Every April, I do a massive cleaning of my house ( dusting and furniture cleaning) to get ready for the summer months. I am a stickler with getting everything in tip top shape. Hayley, Zane, and I all get very bad seasonal allergies this time of the year, with dust being the main culprit, so it is necessary to do this yearly massive furniture cleaning. It actually reduces our allergies by having everything dust free to the best of my abilities.

This year, I decided to try a new product- Guardsman Ultimate Reusable Dusting Clothes. My mom used Guardsman products for awhile and suggested I try it. I have to say- I am never going back to my old ways of dusting. I decided to go through my whole house using the Guardsman Reusable Dusting Cloths for all my furniture cleaning. The Guardsman Reusable Dusting Cloths traps all dust to remove allergens (very important for my family) for healthier, cleaner air. It is a sprayless application so you have no risk of inhaling spray mist. How many times do you use the spray just to get the nasty residue in your mouth?By using these cloths, you will not run into any of these problems. It will also leave no dust attracting residue behind and will save time to remove dust fast and effectively in one quick step. The best part is it is hand washable and reusable time after time. The Guardsman Ultimate Reusable Cloths are good for all furniture, binds, appliances, cabinets and paneling, glass and mirrors, ceiling fans, and railings. You can also use it on your floor sweeper- how cool is that!

While I love to get all my wood furniture cleaned, I pay specific attention to my bedroom set. My furniture set was given to me as a wedding gift from my parents so it has great sentimental value. It just so happens that this set also collects the most dust. I store my magazines on my nightstand and hardly ever take the time to clean it. So, I decided to use the Guardsman Ultimate Dusting Cloths to try to clean my nightstand part of the bedroom set.

Here is a before picture of my DVD player on my nightstand: (tried to get it not blurry but you get the picture of how dusty it is)

Here is an after picture after  using the dusting cloths:

Don’t you think that the Guardsman Dusting Cloths did a great job? I sure do! The Guardsman Dusting Cloths are available in three sizes: single-cloth, 5-cloth and 12-cloth packs. Retail price is $2.99-$19.99. They have so many other Guardsman products available so please be sure to check out their website for their product selection as well as  in-depth product information, furniture care advice and seasonal tips.  Guardsman products are available at furniture retailers, as well as hardware, home improvement and specialty stores nationwide.

Guess what- Their is now a “Stop Cleaning, Start Caring” campaign being sponsored by Guardsman and designer Tracy Hutson. The campaign focuses on challenging Americans to rethink traditional furniture cleaning by giving furniture its own beauty routine.

  • You nurture, protect and care for the things you love. And your furniture should be no exception. New or old, we all have furniture we love.
  • Furniture should be cared for in the same way we take care of ourselves.  It’s more than dusting and polishing, it’s about nourishing, revitalizing and bringing out furniture’s inner beauty.
  • Guardsman wants to unlock the secret experts and homeowners have shared for more than a century.  The simple furniture beauty routine includes: cleansing, polishing and, of course, covering those tiny imperfections.

The secret to beautiful furniture is simple… “Stop Cleaning. Start Caring™”

Go now to Guardsman.com  and submit your favorite furniture story. Guardsman and Tracy Hutson will then select one lucky winner to receive a personal design session in their home.  This will include a $1500 room re-accessorizing and shopping experience, plus a suite of Guardsman products. Guardsman is generous enough to donate $25,000 to Habits for Humanity (a wonderful organization to build homes for low-income families) to kick off this awesome campaign. Go now and share your favorite furniture story!

These sound great, the thing I hate about dusting is within a few seconds half the dust reappears, so will definitely give these a try, thanks.

I need a dusting solution. I don’t use my dining room table very often because it is just me so there is a layer of dust on it that I would like to keep away. I have only lived here for a little over a month so really there shouldn’t be that much dust.

This looks like it could really work well here in the EL Paso desert! Everything gets covered with sand and dust daily.

Oh wow.. I so need these! With 6 people and a dog in the house, our place gets dusty quickly! I need something that will actually pick up and hold on to the dust.. not just move it around! Thanks for the review!

I am not a fan of dusting- it especially bothers my allergies. These cloths sound like a great way to trap in the dust and keep it from bothering me.

That did a great job. I live in the desert, and dusting for me is almost a 24/7 job. Dust, and it will be back within two hours. These would be a great help to me since I can wash them and use them over again.
