WebMD Pregnancy App Review and a Fantastic Baby Giveaway(thermometers, swaddling blankets, and more)

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to interview Dr. Hansa Bhargava who is a WebMD peditrician. If you are not familiar with WebMD, they are the go to source to find out everything and anything that is medically related. I have WebMD bookmarked and have been known to frequent their site whenever I have a medical question, for a quick answer.

WebMD now has a pregnancy app  for new moms out there looking for answers. After speaking to Dr. Bhargava over the phone, I became jealous that this app did not exist when I had Hayley or Zane. Dr. Bhargava is the overseeing peditrician of the app, and it will give a new mom or dad, complete information about pregnancy and have questions answered live on their site, as well as the app.01_pregsplash

The WedMD Baby App provides trustworthy, doctor-approved information personalized by a baby’s age and offers tips and videos from Bhargava. She was instrumental in its development and speaks on behalf of WebMD in media coverage of the app.

With extensive experience in the areas of health and wellness of infants, toddlers, and children, Bhargava came to WebMD from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, affiliated with Emory University, where she practiced for seven years as a lead physician in urgent care. Pregnancy apps that are currently available offer singular functionality, forcing expectant parents to switch between multiple apps in order to track and monitor health and wellness information.     My first pregnancy was a miracle. I was told I would never have children due to a couple medical conditions. When I became pregnant after 9 years of trying, I constantly thought I was on the verge of a miscarriage because of cramping that I was having. So, my number one question was about those pains. What were they and was it normal? (Round ligament pains! Yup, completely normal!)

    I am trying to win this for my brother and sister in law who are expecting their first baby!!!! May main concern while pregnant with my 3 was….will I hurt myself or the baby working on my feet for a 40 hour work week and why I was gaining so much weight is I was so active. I always wondered if it was more than one kid in there…lol

    What an awesome app! I wish I had it when I was preggo with my kids too. It could have been such a lifesaver!

    My #1 pregnancy question was, “now WHEN can this constant, gut wrenching, debilitating nausea end??” lol. I had horrible morning sickness with all three kids. Not fun.

    I am currently in pregnancy number two with baby boy number two! I always wanted to know how the lungs functioned in a fully aquatic location?! My baby is in a bubble of fluid and the lungs still practice breathing before birth? THAT’S AMAZING TO ME!!!

    #1 pregnancy question was when you found out you were expecting: When I first found out, I was very worried that the baby would survive since I kept bleeding in the first trimester. At the end of my second trimester, they told me that I was having twins and one was smaller than the other. When I started having more questions about that because I had read up on the topic, the doc started fudging numbers. Come on! I am a scientist, so I can totally recognize fudged numbers.
