A new recipe on the blog today is Buffalo Cauliflower Wings! My son and husband are HUGE wing lovers! They love everything about wings so when we found this new recipe we knew it would be a huge hit!
Prep time: 10 minutes I Bake time: 30 minutes I Total time: 40 minutes
Makes: 1-2 servings
Oven: 425 degrees F
Ingredients for Buffalo Cauliflower Wings:
1 12 oz steamable frozen cauliflower florets – steam according to directions and cooled
1⁄2 C all-purpose flour
3⁄4 C water
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1⁄2 tsp chili powder
1⁄2 tsp smoked paprika
1⁄4 tsp ground pepper
1⁄4 tsp salt
1 C buffalo wing sauce
Instructions:
1. Steam frozen cauliflower according to directions. Once cauliflower is done being
steamed, let cool for easier handling. Place in a bowl
2. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Line a cooking sheet with parchment paper, and set
aside.
3. In a large bowl add the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, smoked paprika,
pepper, and salt. Stir until combined. Add water and mix until flour and seasoning is
combined.
4. Spray parchment-lined cooking sheet with cooking spray. Dip each cauliflower into the
batter using a fork, allowing excess batter to drip off before placing it on the prepared
cooking sheet. Continue until all cauliflower pieces have batter on them
5. Place in the oven for 15 minutes, flip and continue to bake for 15 more minutes.
6. Remove the baked cauliflower from the oven, place in a large bowl, and toss in buffalo
sauce.
7. Serve immediately.
Substitutions:
The recipe uses Sweet Baby Ray’s buffalo wing sauce. However, any buffalo sauce
can be used.
● 1C Franks red hot sauce with 1 Tbsp vegan butter and 1 Tbsp maple syrup to
make the recipe vegan.
● A fresh head of cauliflower can be used in place of frozen. Simply wash and cut
the cauliflower head into bite-size pieces. Double ingredients to have a sufficient
amount needed for a larger cauliflower.
ENJOY!
