Yes as you all know, I am a kids dentist. My track to becoming a dentist started at Lehigh University in 1996 when I did the accelerated 7 year bio- dental program. I absolutely love being a dentist and the best part is helping others out on a daily basis. Now I work for community health and it is such a rewarding job that I hope makes a difference in peoples lives every single day.
Recently I was asked about dogs and how they can better their dogs teeth at home. Dog dental health is a very important discussion to be had with your vet as you do not want your doggy to lose their teeth, in the same way you don’t want a human to lose their teeth. Just as in humans, dental care is a quick and easy way to reduce the risk of periodontal issues. In the morning and evening, you should make sure to brush all family member teeth including dogs and other animals. Bow Bow Labs is one product line that helps with doggie health on a daily basis. Check out their line for innovative dog products to help with their everyday health and teeth health.
As for mom, dad, sister, and brother, it is absolutely imperative you pay close attention to your dental health. After your 20 baby teeth fall out, you only get one more set of adult teeth. If you do not take care of your teeth, you are at risk for periodontal disease, infections, pain, and so much more. I have heard time and time again that dental pain is the absolute worst type of pain. Every day, I have patients come to me to help alleviate their pain.
Whether you are a dog parent or a mom parent, be sure to take care of those special teeth. Trust me when I tell you it is imperative to do it now before it is too late!
