I try to exercise as much as I can. I love to exercise! Most days you can find me at the gym, on the peloton, or playing tennis. To me, exericse not only helps my physical health but it helps my mental health. There is something about working out that releases endorphins and just makes you feel better! I am sure you can all relate to this! There is so much positives to working out but one thing I noticed is, as I get older, I feel more aches and pains when I work out. I am definitely feeling some aches and pains. One product that I absolutely love to use is Doctor Hoy’s pain relief gels after a vigorous workout. I also am a big fan of their anti inflammatory cream. When using this, my pains seem to alleviate greatly over time.
Many people ask me how I get the time to work out after being a mom and dentist all day. The answer is quite easy. You find the time, just as you find the time to eat and sleep. Working out, in my eyes, is just as important as the essential sleep and eat. For me, I tend to work out after I get home form work. Work can be stressful at times and when I hop on that treadmill or peloton after work, it seems to make things that much better. After I work out, I have a light dinner and then try to get a good night sleep.
I also know people who do much better working out in the am. For that reason, there are tons of gyms and classes that begin at the ungodly hour of 5 AM. However for those who work and like to get their day started right, this is always a great option. One thing I also love to do is try to work out with my son. Lately when he gets home from school and I get home from work, the two of us hit the gym together for a fun mom-son workout. We get to spend time together and also get to sweat off the days worries. It is a win-win for us all!
Start the New Year right by getting on the the exercise track! Trust me your body will thank you and your mind will thank you too!
