Hi guys-it’s Amy from As The Bunny Hops! Earlier in the month I had the chance to visit LAIKA Studios to get a behind the scenes look at Focus Features new film, Kubo And The Two Strings, on behalf of The Mommyhood Chronicles.

Kubo and the Two Strings is an all new action-adventure epic from LAIKA studios. In the stop-motion animated feature, Kubo (voiced by Art Parkinson of “Game of Thrones”) earns his living telling stories to the people of his fantastical, seaside Japanese town.

Everything changes when he accidentally summons a spirit from his past with an ancient vendetta.

Kubo sets off with Monkey (Academy Award winner Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey) to save his family and solve the mystery of his father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known.

Together they take on gods and monsters, including the Moon King (Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes) and the Sisters (Academy Award nominee Rooney Mara) as Kubo unlocks the secrets of his past and fulfills his heroic destiny.
Kubo and the Two Strings was written by Marc Haimes and Chris Butler and was directed by Travis Knight.
