**I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Starbucks. I received a promotional item and a gift card to facilitate my review.**
Last week, I took one of my greatest friends to Starbucks to try out the brand new Teavana Oprah Chai Tea. I was hoping to take my mom, who happens to be my best friend, but since she was still in Florida living at the time, I took my really good girlfriend. I wanted to make my girlfriend feel extra special since she truly deserves it. She is a single mom who is absolutely amazing and rarely gets that time for herself. I figured she would love to have some special girl time and go to Starbucks to chat, and try out the new Teavana Oprah Chai Tea that they had in the store.
When we arrived at Starbucks, the very first thing I noticed was this sign.
I told my friend that I was so unbelievably excited Oprah had her own line at Starbucks. Oprah is such a philanthropist and whatever she comes out with, is sure to be a hit. If you are not aware Oprah started a foundation to benefit childrens education and Starbucks will be making a donation for each Teavana Oprah Chai product sold to benefit educational opportunities for youth through the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation. This is reason enough in my opinion to bring that special friend or mom in, and sample the new Teavana Oprah Chai products.
My drink of choice at Starbucks is their regular chai tea and I usually enjoy it first thing in the morning, switching between my coffee lattes I get there. There is something about having a freshly brewed cup of tea in the morning and savoring its delicious taste. It just makes my morning start out wonderful! Now, that Oprah has her own line of Chai Teas, I was extremely anxious to try it out and see how it compared to my regular Chai Tea that I have there, that I love very much.
I ended up ordering the Starbucks Teavana Oprah Chai Tea soy latte (hot) and my girlfriend ordered the same but in the iced form. We decided to get it without any sugar in it, since both of us like it not overly sweet. We then sat down to catch up and drink up. The Teavana Oprah Chai Tea features a bold infusion of cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves, blended with loose-leaf black tea and rooibos, that is very evident when you take your first sip. It is not overly sweet (which some Chai Teas can be) but rather goes down very smoothly. I also noticed it was not overly spicy which is another taste I notice with other teas. Both of us agreed it was simply delicious! I actually loved it so much, that I ordered another when I left, to let my other girlfriend (who I was going to see later that day) try.

Seeping my Teavana Oprah Chai Tea lattes, made us realize how important it is to step back and really enjoy the day. With a shared love of tea and a mutual commitment to giving back, Oprah and Starbucks created Teavana Oprah Chai to provide another way for customers to enjoy the ritual and comfort of a great cup of tea. That day my girlfriend and I really enjoyed the experience of actually sitting down and enjoying talking for once, without our combined 4 kids constantly bothering it. It was such a beautiful start of the day, and I enjoyed every second of it.
