Disney Pixar Toy Story Partysaurus Boat and Color Change Splash Buddies Tub Toys!

I am very excited to be a Mattel Disney Insider and to bring you the hottest Disney toys of the season. My first item I received to review was the Disney Pixar Toy Story Partysaurus Boat with the Color Splash Tubtime Buddies! If we are talking about bath toys, this is the hottest bath toy right now on the market! While my son is too young to really appreciate Toy Story, my daughter is a fanatic. We own all three Toy Story DVDs and she watches them like it is her job! When we received the Disney Pixar Toy Story Partysaurus, all she kept screaming is “Mom, it is like we are in Toy Story”.

As seen in the Disney Pixar Toy Story short, this boat set is the ultimate bath toy that is able to float, incorporate flashing party lights, and include color-change Partysaurus Rex figures along with a rubber ducky. When we first set up the Partysaurus, there was instructions that we readily were able to follow along and had the set up done in a minute. In order to get some of the special features such as the flashing lights working, we simply had to put in 3 AAA batteries. Once it was set up, both kids were able to have the time of their lives with the Partysaurus.

The Partysaurus has multiple levels of fun that your kids will enjoy playing with. The figurine included, the Partysaurus Rex, can sit high on his ship and then when the kids are ready, they could pull the lever and send him splashing down to the cabin below. When this happens, there is a great color transformation right before their eyes. He can also dive off the spring-loaded diving boards on either side of the ship and go back onboard via the ladder to join the ship again.

Hayley and Zane absolutely loved the flashing lights. They were so wowed that a tub toy can have flashing lights! I honestly was mighty impressed too! It was also easy to activate the color transformation features. We filled the bath tub and toy up with icy water and simply dunked the T-Rex in. When you do that, you will notice that his hair and helmet changes colors from a red and silver to a pink and blue! It was mighty awesome to see the transformation! Then if you want to change him back, you simply dunk him in warm water. We also figured out that we could use the rubber duck and squirt the T-Rex to make him change colors.

With the Partysaurus Boat, you get the actual boat with LED lights, a Partysaurus Rex figure, a rubber ducky squirt toy all based on the Toy Story short story.  You can also include the Toy Story Color Splash Buddies that can be purchased separately to add in the fun! We did receive the Bad Mood Chunk and Rex, along with the Hero Buzz Lightyear figurines that went along with the Partysaurus Party Boat. All these figurines also change color when cold water is added. Cold water changes the color and warm water changes it back. All the Toy figurines splash buddies from the movie are also available including Woody, Jessie, and Halm. I think for the holidays, I will probably get all the figurines since the kids truly love this toy!

    My favorite Toy Story character is Slinky Dog. I remember when the first movie came out. Now i have a 5 year old that LOVES Toy Story.

    WOW, my kids would go nuts for these things! We all love toy story in our home! I love woody and Buzz equally. T loves Woody, J loves Buzz! lol. Even at 7 and 8 they still want to collect Toy Story toys!

    My daughter LOVES Buzz and Woody and she always says “Whatcha lookin at hockey puck!” so cute 🙂

    my favorite is buzz light year! i had one in pristine condition that came out when the first movie came out then i had kids and it has since been destroyed!
