The idea of spending a week long holiday with two young children in a cramped hotel room is enough to make even the most patient of parents crack. The lack of privacy, having to tip-toe around after the kid’s bedtime, and being within 10 feet of your entire family 24/7 doesn’t really make for the most relaxing of holidays. What other option do you have though if you want to get away? Well, have you ever considered staying in a holiday cottage? This accommodation option could be the answer to all of your family holiday prayers, and here’s why.
Space & Privacy: Staying in a holiday cottage is more like staying in a home away from home than a hotel room. Everyone can have their own bedroom, giving space to spread out and the privacy you need to keep your sanity on a long family holiday!
Budget Friendly: One of the most appealing aspects of staying in a holiday cottage is the price. Most cottages are significantly cheaper than a hotel stay, and offer you so many more amenities in return – of which a fully functioning kitchen, separate bedrooms, and privacy are just a few.
Food Freedom: Eating out on holiday can be a delight, but it can also be a nightmare when you have a screaming toddler in tow! With the fully kitchen at your holiday cottage you’ll be able to prepare most of your meals in your holiday home and avoid both toddler tantrums and overpaying. It also means you can eat healthier and avoid the dreaded holiday bulge!
There are holiday homes to rent all over the world so no matter where you are heading there is sure to be the perfect cottage out there for you. I have to agree with you! While we don’t go on vacations currently, I know as our three children age, a hotel room juts wouldn’t cut it! The thought of renting a house sounds so much better!

Just the place that I would like to go to for a vacation! I love the idea that I can make my own meals most of the time.

My family lives in Ireland and I normally stay with them… but these cottages are so cute! I might have to opt for one my next trip over. Thanks for sharing 🙂

We love renting houses (or cottages!) when we travel, especially abroad. Not only do you get more space and all the conveniences of home, it’s easier to have a true local experience than if you were staying in a hotel. I had not heard about this company before – thanks for sharing.

This a an excellent idea. 3 kids in a hotel never works, its just too hard with varying bedtime schedules. I would prefer to cook than eat out every day. Its much easier when you have a picky eater.
