Saturday’s Top Five Laughs-Come join the Blog Hop!

So, if you follow my blog, you will know I am a very optimistic person! This week, however, was not a great week for me. I am only going to post one laugh as we didn’t have a very funny week at this household. First off, Zane has  a stomach bug since Sunday. I probably have been vomited on more times than I ever like to imagine.  We are on the mend now but boy, both he and I were not happy campers. I am glad to have my happy baby back. Next, Hayley has been giving me huge problems with sleeping. She has been staying up to after midnight every night and crying from 9 pm to 12 am. I think I created a habit of going in to see what she needs. Now I think she is doing it out of knowing I will be there when she cries. I need to start doing some tough love, even if I don’t want to. I can’t function on the 4 hours each night that I have got.


Lastly, on Wednesday when I was at work, I found out my blog was no longer to be found in the database. When you googled my blog, it said, “Blog can’t be found.” I have worked SO HARD on this blog and I was completely devastated. I am a family friendly blog who writes mostly about my kids, kid reviews, and giveaways- so I had no idea what was going on. Turns out it was a glitch in the system but boy, that really gave me a scare. I was on/off in hysterics for most of the day on Wednesday. I owe a huge thank you to my new blogging friend at My 3 Little Kittens. While I was at work and unable to do anything, she tried in every which way to figure out what was going on. She was a perfect stranger to me and when I posted on facebook what happened, she was researching what could have possibly happened. She is now going to be a life long friend. I owe her a HUGE thank you for trying to relax me and helping me out during that stressful day.

Now, onto the Saturday laugh part. This is a blog hop so please link up any top five Saturday laugh post or a funny post. Please do not link up a post, if it is not funny/cute. It would not be fair to the other readers. I look forward to reading them all, as I need big laughs this week. I will be back posting 5 next week but for now,  here is my one laugh:



1. My mom was visiting last weekend and we decided to play hide-n-seek. My mom and I kept hiding and Hayley was to find us. She loved this game! We told her it was her turn. So she goes to hide and we count to 10 and say, ready or not-here we come. Next thing I know I open my eyes, and she is very visible laying down on her trampoline. I told her, that was not a good hiding spot, as I can find her quite easily. She says, “Mommy, it is a good spot- You just stink at this game.” Next round, she ends up hiding where she wasn’t visible. I asked her, where she was hiding. She answers, “Mommy, I am right here.” The concept of hide-n-seek is just not there yet:)

    LOL!! How cute. We do this too, except we always hide and my daughter has to come find us. She doesn't understand the hiding part yet 🙂

    Sounds like an awful week and I'm happy that it's getting better. I have a hard time with the tough love thing too! It'd be so much easier if they weren't so darn cute!

    that would freak me out too if my blog was lost! I just backed mine up this past week – seems like so many folks are having issues I started getting paranoid.

    Stomach bugs are the worst! Hope you are all well for a long time now!

    Oh, girl, we aren't having a very fun week here either. Double ear infection and bronchiolitis AND I sliced my finger open 🙁

    My recipe for stress is either St. John's Wort or peppermint tea. The peppermint tea really helps with a headache, which I have one right now, too.

    Aaw, sorry you had a tough week.
    I have met some great people that were perfectly good strangers that have helped so much. That's very sweet. 🙂
    And as for your little one, Im so sorry, I know how that is. 🙁

    And for your funny story, my little one is the same way. He hides but wants to say "Im here" after a while as well as asking us where to hide.

    Sorry Zane has been sick, hope hes feeling better. & Haley hope she & you get some sleep soon! & That is so cute about hide and seek, reminds me of my Kaylee. When we play she ALWAYS goes in the same two spots. lol. When I say 'Where are you?' She says 'Behind the door!' lol. SO cute though!
