Last night, my husband and I watched a hysterical movie titled Parental Guidance, which is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital Copy.
If you have not heard of Parental Guidance here is a snippet of what the movie is about:
HERE COMES THE GRANDPARENTS>>>>THERE GO THE RULES!
Billy Crystal, Bette Middler, and Marisa Tomei prove that laughter is relative in the hilarious comedy that is fun for the whole family! Old-school grandparents Artie (Crystal) and Diane (Midler) get more than they bargained for when they get stuck babysitting their type-A daughter’s(Tomei) over protected kids. But things go from hectic to hysterical when Artie realizes the kids are running the house with their newfangled technology. By playing by his own rules, which includes sugary snacks, old fashioned games and touch love, Artie manages to outsmart the kids and achieve the impossible-bring the family closer together!

I absolutely loved this movie. I found it predictable but funny from start to finish. I really was not expecting to like it very much, so it was a pleasant surprise when my husband and I mutually agreed that it was a great movie. The premise was something I could relate to- Alice and Phil wanting to go away and being stuck asking the grandparents. I think as parents we are at some point or another asking, or shall I say begging, our parents to watch the kids. Artie and Diane take the challenge and this is where the comedy starts.
It was nice to see Bette Midler and Billy Crystal reunite on the big screen again. They seem to feed off of each other perfectly and made the ideal set of grandparents in Parental Guidance. As usual, the two of them, known for their comedic relief, did not fail to disappoint.
Parental Guidance shows the love of families and it shows the closeness of the characters as the movie comes to an end. It is the perfect film for those who are wanting a very relaxed and funny movie, without having to do much thinking. Pay special attention to the scene with Midler and Crystal singing together- it will have you in hysterics and tears!
Be sure to pick up Parental Guidance today for a great movie!
